Bear destroys pair of archery targets

Does anyone have any idea why a bear would destroy both of my archery targets?

I live in a very rural place, bears are a way of life, I am used to dealing with them/not tempting them.

That said, I have never had to worry about my archery targets before, but last night both a "Block" style target, as well as a bag style target were torn to literal shreds and drug in two different directions around the farm.

Bear scat around the remains of the targets leads me to suspect Ursine involvement.

I need top pick up a new target not, but am more concerned/curious as to why archery targets became bear bait...

I don't know why bears were attracted to your targets, but I have seen 4 wheeler seats, fabric hunting blinds and salt treated wood hunting stands chewed to shreds. Sometimes bears just get in the mood to tear something up, I guess. Maybe just curiosity.

Bears

are naturally curious and perhaps your scent prompted the targets demise. Bears fighting back I guess.

Maybe it was a Sasquatch.

They are known to be given to fits of rage. Do you eat beef jerky when you are shooting your bow?

Bears have phenomenal sent ,even better than a deer. if you had any type of food in your hands when you set the target blocks down they could smell it thinking maybe that there was food inside the Target blocks
