I have a browning gold 12 gauge shotgun,I want to square up magazine tube thread(what the end cap fits on).
The aluminium mag tube measure's 1"/25mm,just want slip on a nut and and file it square.
Any idea what thread size the mag tube is ?.
Searched the net and cannot find a thing.
Thanks.

if I remember right and can see those threads in my head its not gonna be a thread where you can find a nut for it. have a machinist make one or buy an extra and have a machinist make a nut from it. I'm really trying to figure out what youre trying to accomplish by doing that.

Got the Browning about 10 years ago, added 4 shot mag tube extension.
Had lot of feed issues, took a few coils of the spring and it cycles a lot better.
I would say the the gun cycles about 95%,before a jam.
I've got a feeling cartridge rims might be jamming in the area where the mag tube joins the may tube extension.
The thread on the may tube pretty rough looking at the end not square,or smooth.
Might just have to get a replacement may tube cap,and open it up in a lathe to make a nut.
