Anschutz 64 not 54

Sorry guys,

I thought this was a model 54 but it is a 64

I had to remove the barrel from the stock so I could send it to MTguns for repairs. Doing so I had to remove the scope and as you know that is where the model # is.
Here is whats on top of the barrel....

Savage Anschutz
modell Match 64

Here is whats on the side of the barrel...

caliber 22 longrifle
made in West Germany

Savage

I would like to know the differents between the 2

Look at the rear of the Bolt

The 64 is Silver, and the 54 is Black. The 54 is also a larger action.
 
are either of these still being made?
Does either one shoot better then the other?

Has anyone with a 64 ever have a fireing pin problem?

anshutz 64 vs 54

although the 64 rifle is a fine firearm, there is no compararision between it and the 54 Anshutz. The 54 holds every international and world record as far as I know . If you shot a 54 , the difference is quite evident.
