There is a small aluminum block embedded here and three pillars. I would say this is the preferred bedding setup for serious benchrest users. Those using the action for other rimfire competitions may have other ideas. The aluminum block is optional as the recoil notch can just be filled with bedding. The block is more durable if the owner removes the action from the stock regularly.
