There's a lot of discussion about the Nomad II on airgun boards. My takeaway is that they're pretty likely to fail in a fairly short time frame. I have the 4500 water cooled unit, which has not yet failed, but they don't have the best reputation either. In my research it seems you can gamble on the Yong Heng import, maybe have to buy a couple, then augment it with better cooling and an external moisture filter - total cost perhaps $500, or jump all the way to a 'real' dive compressor: Coltri, Alkin, Bauer. The 'in between' compressors seem to have enhanced cost without bringing a lot more support or reliability to the table. Of course pick any of them and you'll find a few fans.

I bought an Alkin at the beginning of the year and am very glad I did.

Minor up date

My Nomad II is in Solon, OH now to be repaired. Would only make 900 PSI, Only used for 6 months.
Oh well should have bought a better unit but that would be in the $2000.00 and up class.
Better to buy correct unit once than buying two units.
