Accurate Arms 2230 ?

Looking through a 1989 Sierra loading manual tonight (don't ask why ?), I find listed a 6ppc load of 29.7gr AA 2230 at 3200fps with Sierra's 70 gr matchkings. Has anybody ever shot this powder ? Was it stick or ball ? Is it still available ? Does it have any other applications? They also list H322,BL-C(2) and H335, those I am familiar with. Thanks,
Joel

don't shoot the 6PPC (but I ought to), but do own some AA2230 powder. I recently was in contact with the folks over there about some loads in my .450. They sent me several to try with a 400 grain bullet that used 2230 powder. After further contact I find out that there is more than one AA2230 powder, and the bottle I have is different than the current stuff (as in non interchangeable). I also kinda gathered that there might just be a third kind of 2230 from them! I'd send them an email asking them whatkind they used. Mine had 2230 Data written on the bottle, and they had no data for it! Yet I know it was newer than 1989.

Accurate Arms 2230 is a real good powder. Blended for the .223 and .308. Almost a "go to" powder. Meters real well and burns clean.
The "Data" was another blend but wasn't available for very long. Kinda like the AA2230C. Good stuff while it was available. Went through about 40 pounds of the AA2230C till I couldn't get it anymore. And at around $68.00 for a 8 pound jug, you couldn't go wrong. Never tried the "data". Just went back to the standard AA2230. The "Data" and "AA2230C" had almost identical burn rates as the AA2230.
Works good in my Mini 14 .223 and M1A .308. I use it .221 Fireball, .223, 22BR, 6BR, 6.8 BR, 6.8 SPC and 30.06
If the name "Accurate Arms" means anything, it must be good stuff.:D

yes...load for the powder you have and dont forget to tell people EXACTLY what you have.
2230 data is not 2230 canister
2230 c is not either of the above.
2230s is none of the above
they don't have data for it because it was not a production/canister powder....it has load data on the container for its common uses.
4895 is either imr or hodgdon...its not"just 4895"
one must be correct when talking powders...
as an example i have 5 different lots of 8208...all imr all milsurplus..none the same
