600 yd. Piedmont match today....

I believe we had about 20 shooters today braving the cold (23*) and wind (probably 15 to 20......maybe more at times). While the sun did come out, it never really warmed up all day long. Quite a few DNQ targets:p..........Yes, I managed one in heavy gun. Not a whold lot of small groups........The very first relay had the best conditions as far as the wind. The norm was probably 3" to 5" groups. A couple of 1's early on but after the second target, the wind was kicking. We cut out before the final results were tabulated but Sam Hall had light gun sewed up............Not sure how he fared in heavy as his targets were not scored when we left.
A good time was had by all even with the cold. We had shooters from as far away west as eastern Tenn. 2 1/2 hrs.( John Lewis) and from out east by Charleston SC 5 hrs.(Waverly McNeill) Thanks to Tommy Williams and his crew for good time.

Fun Times

Hey Rich,

Sounds like a good time. If anyone from down there wants to practice a month or two before that fun match next year, come on up to Bridgeville D.E. We have those conditions better half of the season till we finish up in March. Amazing is that we have quit a few guys still shooting 2. and 3. aggs with high scores. I will have to agree with you, out of all the places that i have shot from the North to the South Mr. Williams and the crew run a professional, shooter friendly match. Hope to see you all next summer for a match or two. Getting older and the 7 1/2 hr drive is starting to have it's effects on me.
