6.5x47L Bullets and Twists

Have just about decided to build a 6.5x47 Lapua. For 600/100yd BR what bullets are you using and what are the recommended twist rates for those bullets?

8.5 twist will shoot em all. Have chamber throated for your bullet choice. I like the 140 gr bullets with the higher bcs. Even though they will be slower they will buck wind better.

6.5X47L Bullet choice

I am also having a 6.5X47L built and have ordered a Shilen 1X8 barrel. Plan to shoot the Berger 130 target VLD. The following link from 6BR has a lot of info. Also do a search for 6.5X47L on that link for more articles.

Hi Chillippr,
I use a 1 in 8.5 twist and the 108 grain Lapua Scenar bullet.
