I have never seen one.
Heck, I can't ever remember reading where Kieth, Townsend, Roberts Askins, Niedner, or any of the old guarde ever did it. But no doubt, someone has.
That would complete that familly of chamberings, you haver the 6mm Rem, the 257 Roberts, the 7mm Mauser, and of course, the 8mm Mauser.
I guess the logical question would be "why". The gap between 308 and 30-06 isn't THAT big.
Just as a note, I have seen several of the old 8mm Mausers converted to 8mm-06. They, (I think Brownells), used to make a kit for doing just that. It consisted of a reamer, a headspace gage, and a T-handle that fit into the action to turn the reamer. A friend of mine back in the 70's did one of these. It was rather labor intensive, but the results were not half bad. It shot decent enough, as I remember.........jackie
