Is anyone shooting a 300 wsm ackley? I'm currious what kind of velocity differences there will be between the two. Thanks Tony

Seeing as how PO died in 1989 and the 300WSM was designed in 2001 I am not sure how you can have a 300 Ackley? Don

I am not sure that it would be worthwhile to improve the case as it seems to be doing just great on it's own. It would only be a 5 degree increase in shoulder angle, so I don't see much gain in capacity anyway. Just my 2 cents worth.

About all that extra angle does is make for worse donuts.
WSM's already shoot well enough that it would be impossible to make a change and say that it works better. Furthermore, in the 30 cal version, there's not really enough neck left to properly "improve" the case.
fwiw, I shot a (very slightly) "Un-Improved" version, and it had plenty of ummph.
