What powders have proven most successful in 300 win mag for competition?
Hall Express Action
28" Shilen 12 twist
Norma or Lapua Brass
190 gr Berger Or Sierra

What Speed can be expected?
How full is the case?
How clean does it burn?

Thanks for the reply I have tried RL25 and like everything about it except that it burns very dirty.

74 grs of it under a 190smk gives under 20 fps es as measured by a Oehler 35p with a 8 ft. spacing on the screens . Cant say that I am able to tell the difference in how clean it burns compared to other powders .

They all make my patches dirty when I clean :)

300 winny

Mine likes H4831.. You might also try VV 560...

It is not velocity that will get you it is extreame spread.

Reloader 22, IMR4831 and 7828 are all good choices for the 300 win mag. I like to shoot the 190 vld bullets at around 3100 fps out of the 300 wm.
 
Powder!

VV N165 and 190gr sierra Match bullets seem to work extremely well!!
