I have a reamer print of Harold Broughton's original design. I don't think it has been changed.
neck length = .5046
shoulder angle = 35 degrees
shoulder diameter = .4100
case length = 2.020
neck diameter = .3260
Precision Shooting Dec 84 and February 85 for some history.
Here are three different rims. 30-30, 308, and PPC

Do either of you have a case diagram of the 22 MCR and 6 MCR. These were Harvey Miller's cartridges developed in the late 70's somes times made off the 30-30 case and other times made off the .220 Winchester case. Harvey shot the first sub .2 agg in NBRSA History with the 6 MCR Rifle 61 in the NBRSA insert. His record agg was measured .1629 for the HV 100 record, lasted many years.

For those who might remember him, I shot next to Guy Green in a
november snowstorm and watched him shoot 50-5X with an Ardvark(30)
with a mauser 98 actioned gun.

Harold was an old friend of mine and I have several of his wildcat cartridges. Including some strange looking ones. If you knew Harold you know what I mean by strange. I think I have chamber prints for the Aardvark, all of the Coyote's, Guppy, 6mm Russian, and the various 6x47. That's just the Benchrest cartridges that he played with.

It would be very interesting to put together a book of these wildcats or possibly a forum just for this and call it (Fathers of Invention). I for one would be interested in seeing just what has been done in the past before it is lost. It would be a good place to pay homage to our great inventor/ experimenters of our sport, past and present.
I see that we are still asking for information on various wildcats such as the 22 & 6 MCR’s as Stephen is, if it had it’s own forum it would make it easy and simple to post and search.
I hope I am not opening a can of worms here….if so I apologize

There are a number of books on the subject. Of course none of them have every Tom-Dick-N-Harry's homebrewed creation listed but they're pretty darned comprehensive.

I too have all the Rifle 1-200+. Problem as you know the center NBRSA section was only added to members magazines. I have 13-100+ that included most of the member sections but my big collection was originally owned by a non-member. Not sure where in any of my Rifle mags Harvey's article was. I have the cover pic of his Rifle nailed down Rifle 48, his record agg submitted Rifle 61, but not his cartridge article on his 22 PPC and 6 PPC.
Those that knew Harvey knew he made Geraci look not so tough. Harvey was a powerlifter I saw him in the Gym. He was admired by many and scorned by a few, kinda like me. He called me the son he never had.
Real trivia Harvey's last job before he his MCR business was maintenance on the Golden Gate Bridge. The paint fumes got to his lungs forcing him off the bridge. Really true.

JDs cartridges are proprietary not wildcats. 7-30 Waters is a factory cartridge.
I did a series on Competition Cartridges over on the 6mmBR Site. It doesn't go into the names of individuals who pioneered the Benchrest cartridges. I'd hate to have to put all of that down in writing.

6mm Bullberry
I have a 6mm Bullberry in a Thompson Contender. This is a 30-30 necked down to 6mm. My barrel is a 14 inch pistol barrel with a muzzle break. Shoots great!
