222 improved cases

thank yopu for your replys on the 222.what can you tell me about these cases?how much more will the gain in velocity over the 222.i had a 222 in I shilen and rechambered it to 22 br.i hunt groundhogs more then shoot groups so I was thinking if one became avalible of buying a 222 or the improved version for hunting the ranges around here for hunting are 200 to300 yards.

I doubt you will gain much with the improves 222 The 223 will be about the same velocity and a bit better with the 222 mag.
your 22 Br us much better in the long run

No, the 223 is about .070" longer.
