Greetings from Manchester Michigan. I have had a 204 in a savage m 12 for a while. I just started reloading for it. the book says caol is 2.250. I have seated some @2.245 per some recommendations. I measured the rifle chamber w/ a 39 smk & it is 2.329 to the rifling. that's .084 away!!. how much longer have you gone accurately with out too high chamber pressures or brass failures. I load the same bullet to 2.395, over H4895. The cartridge/chamber is designed with a lot of free bore, similar to what Weatherby did with his magnums. I can not touch the lead and keep a bullet in the case in mine, a Remington XR100
