I was given an old Mauser 98 with a Douglas bull barrel in 6mm AI and dies. finally tracked down components and tried a load. Bolt was very hard to close and after fire forming and measuring it, it appears whoever put it together didn't cut the chamber deep enough. Shoulder junction is .03" shorter than it should be based on diagrams I have found. Any suggestions other than toss it?
