    Scope checker question

I have used a scope checker to verify POA issues with 40x and 45x LCS scopes. I used a trusted 36x Leupold as the "standard." The one LCS did change POA but it was a very subtle shift that was hard to discern except that it kept migrating in one direction. With a course crosshair and low...

    The Equalizing Scoring Reticle

OK. I am trying to understand the UBR format. The website says 4 targets per agg. How many bulls per target? Yes,I know- if it can be calculated by knowing the scoring system. Well newbies shouldn't have to do that. A pic of the full targets would be helpful as it would also show what the...

    The Equalizing Scoring Reticle

I can appreciate UBR's attempts to get more people into the game of BR. However, the more I learn about UBR, the more unlikely I would try it. I thought there were more rules than what the website lists. It lacks structure and the deal breaker for me is having to shoot alongside braked rifles...

    The Equalizing Scoring Reticle

I have shot IBS score here in NE PA since 2003. I have campaigned .22, 6mm, and .30 cal rifles. I am currently attempting to go back to using a .30 BR after giving up on the cartridge a few years back due to recoil issues. My most enjoyable rifle to shoot is a .222 HV. So it should come as no...

    Referee Duties

Yep. One time at Bowmanstown 6 or 8 ?? years ago, the stocks were checked to verify that they could be lifted freely from the front bag. I specifically remember Ricky Reed doing the inspection. Word was that the powers- to- be wanted to start enforcing the rule. The following match at Sulphyr...

    Lt32 ???

Other than the action, scope, stock and brass headstamp, one never really knows what other shooters are actually using in matches? And that's the way it should be. The smart one's learn to figure things out for themselves.

Brass hardening Here is what I found regarding loaded cartridge brass and why they sometimes develop neck cracks over time: http://www.astm.org/DIGITAL_LIBRARY/STP/PAGES/STP42574S.htm

Brass hardening with age. I have experienced this phenomenon often enough causing me to search for info that would give my conclusion some validity. I finally found that here: http://www.norma.cc/en/Products/Components/Cases/

    Nightforce Question

Just stating facts so those who are in the market can make their choices wisely and frugally. So, I'll take the answer as no to those scopes being frozen.

    Nightforce Question

FWIW scopes that took Maniac shooters into first place in the first two score matches of the year = Weaver 36x and an LCS 40x. :D Perhaps they were fixed:rolleyes: or just lucky:)

    Paul Ryan passes....

Paul was at a late summer Score match in Bowmanstown to sell his BR stuff. He spoke to all before the safety meeting about his condition. He truly trusted all as his friends because he sold much of the stuff on the honor system stating " put whatever you think it's worth in the pot". He will be...

    222 in a factory 700...modern powders ?

I have best luck with N133 with 52gr. Barts. Occasionally I use one in Rem.700 HV configuration for a registered VFS shoot when another club member campaigns one of his .222's. A lot of fun....a real pleasure to shoot. Best to date was 250 -15x. FWIW IMR 4198 was my best back in the 70's closely...
