Ubr is real benchrest i assure you, there are many fine shooters shooting in Ubr. The founder, Danny Hensley is a top shooter for sure. If you don't think so participate in one of their matches and find out. 😁

I think 1-300 has more matches closer but there are several 600 yd. Ranges in the area also. I'm in Bedford, i shoot short range score and i will help anyway i can. I know people that shoot 600 and 1000 that could probably help if that is the way you prefer to go. You can pm me if you prefer.

If you are shooting short range it doesn't really matter. 100-300 for sure. 600,maybe,1000 yes. The 600 and 1000 stuff is what others that shoot those distances have told me. I do not shoot them myself

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site, Al and Mike are both good sources, I've never seen bad advice from either.

You can leave a thin line of the bedding intact around the trigger as a barrier to keep the glue away from the trigger

I agree with Mike, if it has been properly pillar bedded you are probably good to go clean everything good after you rough up the bedding to remove any oil and dust and apply a thin coat of glue and let it setup

It is basically the same as doing a pillar bed job, you just don't use a release agent. JB weld does a good job on a glue in. Of course if you are doing a straight glue in you don't need to install pillars.
