    South Dakota back roads pics

The past is a nice place to think about but I would not want to return there. I grew up on a small farm in Nebraska and planted corn and cultivated with horses. Nowdays they farm with equipment you couldn"t turn around on the farm I grew up on. Back then you lived your life, now you just pass...

Could there possibly BE a worse response???

Hunting regulations are one thing. What I need to defend myself against a tyrannical government is a whole different situation that I am not going to get into a p*****g contest over. Other peoples opinions will differ from mine. Wayne

    Lot Testing Lapua

Eley or Lapua doesn't matter. The guy that gets there first with the most money gets the best stuff. I don't think anything will change that. Since most of us can't afford the best stuff you know where that leaves us. Just my opinion. Wayne

    Lathes

I've had a G0709 for a little over 2 years now and am happy with it. I am a retired machinist and use it for a hobby. If I was going to use a lathe to make a living I would definitely go with the 3 phase G0509G. Too much vibration to do a really smooth job on the smaller lathe. By the time you...

In order to remove the cross hair tube you have to remove the 2 screws holding the power ring. The brass tube can then be carefully removed. It sounds like you have either 3/8 or 1/2 minute dot. PM me if you want any other information. I will help if I can. Forgot to say you have to remove the...

    Jewell trigger SAFETY test

Are you sure a spring didn't lost along the way? With all springs in place I don't see how anything can be loose. If everything is in its proper place I have no other ideas. Wayne

Precision Matthews Lathe arrived last week

I don't know about your biringham but on my grizzly G0709 when you cut metric threads you have to leave the lead screw engaged and reverse the lathe. If you disengage it you lose it. No way around it. Wayne

    g 709 grizzly lathe

Hopefully I just figured this out. Question? Are you changing the number dial from 1 to 2 when you go from 16 to 18 threads? If you are then I haven"t figured anything out. Wayne Just realized that is all you change when going from 16 to 18 tpi. I'm awake now.

    g 709 grizzly lathe

Kris I was just cutting threads on the G0709 I received in Dec 2010. The chart on the machine is different than the chart in the manual. I went according to the manual at 32 tpi using both 1 & 3 and the threads turned out fine. The chart on the machine said to use 1 & 8. Looks like the wrong...
