Bat tenon STEELHEAD The standard tenon lenght for a BAT action is 1.060" prior to threading. After the cone is cut, and the tenon threaded, and de-burred, the original 1.060" dimension could be .010" to .015" shorter. Check the headspace before you do any other machining. Evelio.

I just finished chambering a heavy varmint 8 twist barrel in 6 BR Norma. My reamer is a .271 neck with .045 free bore. Using Lapua brass, BR4 primers, and 30 grains of Varget with Sierra 107, and Hornady 105 bullets, I am getting 100 yds. groups from .200 to .300. At 200 yds, out of 10 shots 5...
