Actually, it has a 16 cylinder engine. Amazing! That's like having 4 turbocharged four-bangers under the hood! Talk about gallons per mile...

    Super Shoot and small groups

If you want to loan me one, I wouldn't turn you down. But even if I shot a .0005" agg with it, I'd still wish I was a better grouper! (the shooting kind, not the fish kind:p);)

    Super Shoot and small groups

Jim, You're a heck of a salesman! But in the end, debating this is just like debating Ford/Chevy, Coke/Pepsi, Beatles/Stones I'm afraid. :( I guess I'm just a Leupold, Dodge, Coke, and Led Zep kind of guy! Oh yeah, I also like my bamboo-eating bear instead of those flying furry rodents too!

Well, I was going to leave it alone as we obviously have a difference of opinion. But since you asked the above question, I will just say this: refer to post #3. That's why. Have a good one Jim.:)

2014 Best of the West - Raton, NM LV&HV 100 results

Dave saw Dan Dowling shoot a penalty a couple years ago, and then come back to win the 2 gun! 200 yards is where it's at. Don't give up Dave!

    Super shoot pages 1-5

Wish this was in Bughole format. I've been staring at it for 20 minutes and all I can gather is that Tony won and alphabetical order is better used in phonebooks.....:( Can anyone decipher this and put it into a top 20 for the grands and 2 gun for us less intelligent folks?:(;)

SHeesh Zip, didn't figure you'd buy into that bad stock. :( Ok, I retract my suggestion for this sub-forum. Lets just let anyone and everyone on here with a keyboard and a pulse answer every question like they are experts at something they've never done. Who cares about authenticity or...

AKA, My comments were not directed at you either. However, I think you need to understand that there are certain things you can't fully understand unless you are actually right in the middle of them. You can read books, you can ask buddies, you can watch from the sidelines, but it isn't the...

James, you are entitled to your opinion. However, it may change if you understand I was not talking about or referring to you in any of my comments. I did not find what you said to be insulting or disrespectful. As for me apologizing to the keyboard jockey's, don't hold your breath. They...

    333Smitty "cactus 2-gun tie"

What is so elitist about limiting a sub-forum called "Competition Benchrest--ONLY" to competitive users only? Are the Rimfire shooters and the Gunsmiths elitist too since they have their own sub-forum? If someone asks a question on the Centerfire sub-forum, it should be fielded by anyone who...

    333Smitty "cactus 2-gun tie"

Unfortunately not. I'm so busy right now that I will be lucky to make any shoots outside my home state. Was going to try to make it to Lands End this weekend but that fell through too. Are you doing the East/West?

    333Smitty "cactus 2-gun tie"

This thread clearly demonstrates why this forum doesn't often get visited by, or given much attention by competitive Benchrest shooters. Why should it? How many times should we voluntarily stick our fingers in a mousetrap? Here we have a Competitive forum in which someone asks a question...

    Inside case neck cleaning?

No Bill, the trigger doesn't care one way or another.:D;) And the brass is going to let loose of that bullet whether it's coated in carbon or not. But, if the carbon is impeding the bullet from seating consistently (ie the bullets are in a different place in the chamber, or in other words...

    Inside case neck cleaning?

I started out cleaning necks. Then went away from it. I noticed during that time that some bullets didn't seat as consistently as others. Sometimes there was a couple thou difference. So I went back to cleaning necks. It does make the bullets seat more consistent.......at least in my brass...

Central Utah BR Results May 3-4, 2014

Thanks for posting Jim. I can't say I was proud of one group I shot all weekend, but considering the conditions we had, I'm just glad I kept them all inside the box! That must have been the warmest and windiest May match we've ever had. But it was better than what we got the weekend before...

My observations of little consequence: There is no magical powder that will be "load and forget" if you want to win at group benchrest. To find one would mean you have left this galaxy for a parallel universe and our known rules of physics no longer apply. Powder must burn differently in...

    Cargo trailer for benchrest?

The pic was taken when it was Lowell's. You could eat off the floor in there! Now that it's Art's, I think the county health department was notified..........:p Just teasing Art! It actually looks very nice still the last time I saw it.:) Wish it was mine........but I've said that about a...
