    Balancing Wind Flags

What Butch is suggesting may be true for some flag designs. (and maybe yours, I don’t know) Suggest you try them different ways and observe them. Since I’ve been asked about this many times, I would like to take this opportunity to say that Graham flags should not be balanced with the tail end...

    Sniper King Shoot results…

Just wanted to say a word or two about last weekend’s shoot at Tacoma, the Sniper King. We always have a really good time at this shoot. Always a great bunch of people, and this year we all got together for a BBQ in honor of Del Bishop who recently passed. I believe Del still holds the record...

Very sad news, Del Bishop passes

Years ago I was one of the guys lucky enough to be taken under Del’s wing. He was quite helpful when I was a rookie BR shooter especially when I was having trouble making things work. I won my first shoot down in Portland due to his advice on what I was missing in the condition. Del asked how I...

    Wind Flag Stands

One thing to watch out for with the cheaper tripod stands is that they often don’t go down low enough for some ranges. The cheaper stands usually have fewer sections making each section need to be longer to get up to the usual 6.5-7 feet. Stands that have more sections (usually more expensive)...

I believe that is a Mitchel. Both Tom Dickson and Butch Fisher had those on their rails here in the N.W. John Parrish has Butches rail and scope now. Rick Graham

    Grizzly 4003G Lathe

Jay Cutright, thanks for the info on the lathe. I do have another question for you though. How did you decide the bearings were bad? Was it excessive runout, or noise or what that led you to conclude that the bearings needed changed out? Thanks, Rick Graham

    Wind flags

I would just like to inject a word (or two :D) here… what Butch is suggesting does NOT apply to Graham flags. Graham flags already come with the “windshield wiper effect” already eliminated through design. Keep your Graham flags well balanced with the tail you are using and they will work the...

    Tacoma Match

Larry really has had it all working for him this season! And Calvin you are right about Rob shooting well and he fired a dinky .065 unlimited group to take home the coveted small group coffee cup! (Jeff Wardlow take note :D) But I tell you the thing that has been bothering me… Steve Kostanich...

We lost a friend at the Tacoma shoot this weekend…

I’m sorry to have to report the sad news that Bob Boldman’s wife Janie passed away while they were at the Tacoma shoot this weekend. She was always a very happy presence at the shoots with a smile and a hug for everyone. We will miss her. Rick Graham

    Tacoma/Sniper King

Larry has been shooting well… and this time he had to shoot one day of it from Tacoma’s infamous bench #1! Bench 1 has been known to give some shooters (me) fits :D, but Larry showed us how it is done! Congrats to King Steve! Rick Graham

    Tacoma Results

Interesting shoot! Larry shot very well all weekend especially Sunday posting a low .15 agg at 200! Jeff Yost and Jeff Lewis also shot very well in a shoot that threw a little bit of everything at us conditions wise. Way to go guys! And now the fun really starts with rail season in the...
