That is the joy of using a belted case...if you FL size and happen to overdo it, you still have the belt for headspace. You should NEVER have headspace issues with a belted cartridge.

I have never had trouble seeing the splash on the berm, and I mostly shoot a 300 wby. Never had trouble event w/o the break, even with the strait 40x leupold. Breaks for me are strictly a speed shooting aid.

I fell off of the velocity bandwagon years ago. People laughed out loud at the velocity I was getting out of my 300 WBY with 210 bergers. I laughed too....all the way up to the prize table!!!

I am pretty sure rem uses a 1-10 twist in the ultra/weby/win/ ect..... Should be good up to 240 class bullets.

Just an update......I went with a krieger 4 groove 1-8 29" I am going to go with a 6-6.5-47L. Thanks for the imput!!! TOD

Since weight isn't much of a concern, I would go with a 1.25 strait....maybe even 1.35 inches.....30+ inches....1-8 twist. So far I have shot Spencer, Krieger, Braughten, Hart, Brux, Lilga, ...ect... I couldn't pick you "the best". Check out the winners equipment lists posted on the web for...
