100 -200 IBS score National at Orangeburg, SC

I just read through this thread again and it occurred to me that his may be a great time for you to bail out of Maine Jim. The Real Estate Market is hot right now and you may have the best opportunity to get out from under Maine, which you seem to detest so much, now. Don't you and your...

    Neck Tension?

WELLL, Actually, Much could be potentially gained if Short Range Shooters made perfect ammo. Gauges to measure seating force are superfluous to simply measuring the OAL of loaded rounds, measured as closely as one can to where the bullets will engage the lands when they are fired. If every...

    Most amazing rimfire achievement ever.

WELLL, Actually, While the Larson Action may appear to be a clone of a Turbo it actually is quite unique, in so much as a blot action can be. There are a number of features that are an improvement over a Turbo. The Larson Rifles certainly are a hansom package in those lovely red cedar stocks...

    UPS vs USPS

Me too for USPS. I have heard more than a few horror stories about UPS. I have shipped a lot of rifles I have sold over the past dozen years and never once a problem; same for receiving rifles I have purchased, never a problem.

    The Sumo

Looks like the winners may be the fellows who are best at sorting pellets? For sure, just as in Rimfire, it gets to be about the ammo or the barrel that will shoot everything well, of which not many exist. The pellet sorting thing though - - -

    Cartridge Holders?

Bill, I tried a used Sardine can but found the lube stuck to the metal, if that might be a consideration. I have seen a number of people dump a box out on a small towel or rag but with most of our rifles ejecting on the same side as the loading port, I find things get messy and empties mixed in...

    Glasses and scope problem

The best part of that long article that someone publised years ago on properly focusing a scope and is often sited here as the Holy Grail is the sentence in which he says "This is where the Booger falls into the soup". I use that one sometimes and think it is the only valuable thing I derived...

    Running successful BR matches/program

Terry, IBS sells their own Reticle Scoring Device, which must be used to score targets for their sanctioned matches. I don't know what NBRSA uses but I assume the same one. IR 50/50 sells their own plug scoring device that must be used for their matches. I find it to be a darn fine scoring...

Probably no Registered Matches at Tomball in 2013

All too many shooters do absolutely nothing to help run the matches they attend. I wonder if they understand that not much money is being made and that, for the most part, the Match Director gets only the satisfaction of presenting an oportunity for folks to compete. If a club was to charge...
