    Super Shoot 2016

Tom, I thought the part about holding the rail gun match was already decided in a positive manner. I thought we were just having some pie to celebrate...?? You must like the coconut pie, seeing as I seem to remember you wearing a couple of half shells during one of your crazy costume moments. ...

I can see that the Cactus is doing the absolute only thing that can be done. Anyone know when the Shamrock is scheduled for? Larry

    Super Shoot 2016

A lot of folks NOT shooting rail guns would want to practice on the day before the Super Shoot. Your method would have them cussing while the first part of the rail gun takes place. Not fair in my opinion to the folks that come just to shoot the Super Shoot and don't have a lot of time off. Larry

    Super Shoot 2016

Jim, A couple of last wrinkles. I too suggest we start the super shoot on Tuesday then have the rail gun match on Saturday and Sunday. However I think we should start with 200 yards on Saturday and then do 100 yards on Sunday. That way the flags can stay in place and we can have the SS ceremony...

    Super Shoot 2016

Jim, I for one would like it since we would already be there and we hardly get any use out of the rail guns anymore. I would recommend that it be done on Saturday and Sunday after the official Super Shoot match. That way those that don't want to participate can just go home after the "Super...

    Dates for Cactus and Shamrock

I heard that when I was there the last time. Benchrest is pretty tiny compared to most of the other disciplines and the cowboy stuff is huge. Maybe the folks in Dublin have more flexibility. Larry

    Dates for Cactus and Shamrock

St Patrick's day is on the 17th so the Shamrock is probably the same weekend. Let's hope they talked and set the matches on different weekends. Larry

    Wind Flag Question

I suppose I was being too strict in my view. I still have no idea what chartreuse looks like so if it's a shade of red fine. We just finished the world team thing and the Australian team had reversed color flags next to me. I know those banditos did it purpose! Next time I'm going to get some...

    Wind Flag Question

There are times when people don't get a joke and I guess this was one them... In any case it's more popular to have flags that show orange or red when the wind comes from the right and green when it comes from the left. Now the rules say you can do pink, chartreuse (amazing I could spell that)...

    Wind Flag Question

Pink,, mine? I don't think so! If I had let Buddy Ross pick they would be pink with black polka dots.... He claims that's confidence... Larry

Wyatt Peinhardt wins unlimited 200 at IBS Group Nationals

I shot close to Wyatt and as usual he was a great young man. He has a great moral compass and a good sense of humor on top of being a terrific shooter. The benchrest community should be proud of having, in addition to Wyatt, a few other young people that show great potential. Just maybe the...
