Just guessing here, but it sounds like you don't have much if any freebore. That's OK for lightweight bullets or even heavier bullets that are seated deep in the case to where you only have the ogive sticking out the end of the case. You could have a problem with factory ammo in the 150 grain...

The 8 twist will shoot the 52/53 grain match bullets just fine. Then if you want, you still have the option of moving up to the 69/75/80 grain bullets.

Two powders that I am quite fond of with the 190 SMK are Hodgdon 4064 and VV N550. Both work quite well and the 4064 has been a standby for many years.
