Any experience with a TOZ-35M pistol?

This is a Free pistol and they are not drilled/tapped for a scope base. I was wondering if any of you are familiar enough with this gun to know if it could be fitted with a pistol scope? Here's a link to a listing. In the photo, you can see a band on the barrel - I'm thinking that band could...

    Questions about loads and accuracy

Here's some interesting info I stumbled onto at hodgdonreloading.com: You can load a 130gr bullet in 270 Winchester with 60gr of H4831 and get 3000+ fps. And you can load the same cartridge and bullet with 14gr of Trail Boss and get 1318 fps. There are obviously ways to safely reduce loads...

    Questions about loads and accuracy

You could be correct. Also, gunpowder does not require outside oxygen to burn. I can see where extra oxygen inside a case might change the powder burn characteristics - as in radically accelerate it. The question I posed when I opened this thread concerned accuracy. My second question...

Thanks for the info, I'll go a different route.

"All you're trying to do is break in a shooter." That's an excellent point - thank you.

    Questions about loads and accuracy

Is rifle accuracy significantly affected when the cartridge is only half-full of powder? As an example, say I want to shoot a 120gr (or so) bullet at 2100 fps from a 28 Nosler case. I assume the case will be significantly less-than full of powder. Could I still get target practice accuracy...

What is the best CRF action to build on?

Nice stuff for sure, and thanks for posting. But ultimately...meh...just more high priced copycats. I'd rather have 3 of the Mickey Mouse Mooserfields for the same money.

What is the best CRF action to build on?

I wondered about the out-of-square bolt face too. But I'm about 100% certain Ted thought about it also, and somewhere has made an allowance for it. Heck...I'd bet the end of my brass is more out of square/inconsistent than his bolt face. The scope rail and rings look rock-solid to me, though...

What is the best CRF action to build on?

These manufacturers use monstrous cad files to build their actions - you'd think they could convert those files into animated video that would demonstrate the features and benefits of their products. Instead, they put out low quality video with low quality audio, and very little information...

Thanks for the input. It's always nice to hear from those with hands-on experience. Hurry and get that rifle built and post back :)

Thanks for the heads up - I hadn't heard of that brand.

What is the best CRF action to build on?

I believe all my questions have been answered - thanks to all who contributed. I'm not yelling at anyone - I just don't think the insults were called for. I don't know another kinder, gentler word to use in place of "slop". I was speaking of the MRC actions, so unless you work for MRC, I'm...

What is the best CRF action to build on?

The tang was bent. The bolt head would drag on the safety as you closed the bolt. Savage replaced the rifle under warranty, but took 8 weeks to do so.

What is the best CRF action to build on?

When you referred to the guy as Sir Mousinger (or whatever it was you used), the connotation was one of disrespect, disbelief, belittlement - that's why I asked if you had a personal dislike for him or if you thought he was selling snake oil. I think I understand now what you are saying...

What is the best CRF action to build on?

You've insulted Mousingfield twice and me once. With respect to the Mousingfield action, your only contribution was to claim the bolt and knob is "butt-ugly". If you don't like the thread, do us all a favor and go elsewhere.

What is the best CRF action to build on?

Sound's as if you have a personal dislike for the guy. Do you think he's selling snake oil??? You claim the floating bolthead "DOES equalize forces, while keeping the BF parallel"...isn't that a lot like defining "accurately"? If all that truly happens when the trigger is pulled, I'd say...

What is the best CRF action to build on?

Interesting...maybe that's where Ted (ARC) got his idea for the toroidal lugs? Rather than fight deformation of the lugs, harness it to help with alignment.

What is the best CRF action to build on?

That ugly, in-efficient pineapple offers you a chance to make some money installing something you (or your customer) likes better. Be of good cheer...the glass is half full! For my purposes, I have defined "accurately", at least to myself. I have little doubt the MRC properly smith'd would...
