I reread this and realized calling myself a geek was incorrect. In my younger days a geek was someone who wasn't with the program and that is how I feel about myself regarding computers and my pc. When I started on this site I had no clue when it came to typing, I drafted my reports in pencil...

    D-Day

My father was in the Minnesota National Guard and was called up when the war broke out. The company consisted of various prime movers for towing artillery and at one point were assigned to a British unit headed towards Antwerp. Other than seeing an American plane falling out of the sky he had...

I'm still a geek. I hate it when I re-boot and lose stuff. I'm 84 years old and patience isn't one of my virtues but I'm still walking and get to share afew things on line so life is good. Mort

Thank you. My son has the 66 and drives it around. He recently had someone color sand and detail it and I got to see it when we recently attended our youngest grandson's graduation from college. The car looks super and really pops. I don't remember seeing your 63 but it looks really nice. Do...

Tim, there were times I wasn't packing paper but if you found yourself in the right area you could wipe your butt with Turkey Mullen (sp). This weed had broad soft leaves that would do the job....just so you know. Mort

    222 Lapua brass

Don't know what information you have received regarding loads for the 222. My favorite reloading manual covers the 222 and that cartridge only and makes it real easy comparing loads. I have had mine for quite sometime but I think the info is updated. Check Loadbooks ,com. Mort

    H4198 availability.

I found both IMR and Hodgdon to be a little crunchy at times so I use a powder trickle when testing these two. The H4198 shoots a little better on paper but there is really no difference when shooting Idaho Whistle Pigs. Mort

    Remington 700 Bolt Stop.

I know I'm a little late here and for that I owe you all an apology. It turned out I had good luck with the above gunsmith provided by Dundee. The price only was $10 and $5 for shipping....well worth it for me. Some real good folks here and thank you. Mort

    Remington 700 Bolt Stop.

Thanks Al, I had tried all the sites that have Remington parts but no luck. We have an Ace Hardware here in town.

    Remington 700 Bolt Stop.

Good advice Tim. I have a similar issue with my Rem, 722/ 222 but in my case I lost the small coil spring that fits into the upper left side of the receiver. That little spring activates the bolt block. I still shoot whistle pigs on a friends ranch but have to keep it level or the bolt falls...
