Remington built 1917 Enfield action that has been modified for civilian use. I am not an expert on this action, but I believe it is all here. If anything is missing, it looks like it may be the ejector. The work on this action was done by Ron Ashland in the early 1980's. The original "ears" protecting the rear sight have been removed, the top rounded and a flat spot inserted for a rear scope base. The back has been drilled and threaded for one screw. The floor plate for the magazine was been straightened. The bolt handel looks to have been replaced or straightened. The trigger is original. It is apparent that once the work was completed, he did not go further and have the action polished and reblued. This would be a good foundation for a large caliber hunting rifle. It looks solid. Shipping to your FFL in the Continental U.S. is included in the price. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may require additional charges.
