I recently acquired an 8# jug of (vintage?) 2015 BR, Lot # 09596. The jug is a black plastic like the ones they use for chainsaw bar oil - the label is green and white with black lettering. Doesn't say where the powder was made. I plan on using it in a 6 ppc. When and where was it made? And is there anything quirky I should know about this powder? Thanks!

I have some in bottles like that and it was made in Czechoslovakia in about 1997. I have heard that the best was those lots made in Israel. Good shooting...James

I think you are going to find it is not Vintage enough, the 2015 from the 80's worked well in the PPC later lots were too slow.

Z-dog, I had 8# of 2015 dated 1994 that shot very well in my Sako 6PPC. 27 gr. behind 68gr Barts gave 3100 fps and 1/4 to 1/2 inch groups. Almost exactly what V133 and H322 produced. Would love to acquire another jug.

I shot a 6 mm PPC USA Sako single shot using AA-2015 powder in that time frame .
I have three pounds left.

Berger 65 gr
27 gr aa-2015
Sako 6 PPC USA brass
Rem 7.5 primer
jump to lands .101

very accurate

I remember that some lots had made in China .
I should check mine.

OK guys thanks for your input. Should the snow up here in central ME ever melt - I'll give the stuff a try. Thanks again . . . :)

Dick. I'm almost 100% sure that AA2015BR wasn't available until the early 90's. According to Accurate Arms this powder was first tested at the 1990 BR Nationals. So I don't see how u had some in the 80's. Mr Mitchell. Don't want to hear u gripe about the snow. You told me all thru the winter how u wanted it to snow up in this God forsaken place. You wanted it you got it. I'm looking at 5 feet of this crap outside. Still trying to figure out why I moved up here. Brain damage? Momentary lapse of reason? I think it's both. Jarvais called where I live the nuclear zone. He ought to talk, he's got a little more snow in Cornville than I do. Don't worry we should be able to shoot snow free sometime in late May. LOL!
