Any load data on this ? Looking for 200 grain SMK and this powder. An e-mail to Alliant was answered that they hadn't any info on this. I have data and manuals for multitudes of other options, but I was interested in this. Thanks.

When was Reloader 17 introduced ??

The powder has only been on the market a year or two. If Alliant doesn`t have data for your cartridge yet I doubt anyone does. The powder companies tend to research the popular cartridges first then if there appears to be a demand they will tackle the more obscure. The 8x57 isn`t the most popular round here in the states from what I seen.

I tried R17 in my 260 and at the time no data for that was available either. The tech at Alliant told me it had a similar burn to IMR4350 and I might try using the starting load for my components and cartridge with that powder as place to experiment. I don`t know if the burn holds true for the 8mm too, but you might inquire with them about it.

I'll try the tech line at Sierra. Last call to them was back in 1996. Thank you for the suggestion. Eventually I'll post something up, but it won't be benchrest ........ Model 24/47 with the Original barrel......
