What's the best maker of 17 hmr cal. ammo for accuracy, as I just aquired a savage with accur trigger. Thanks, Gerry

You didn't specify if it was a 17 HMR or 17 HM2. The Hornady 17 V-Max works well in my 17 HMR rifles. More info here: http://www.varmintal.com/17hmr.htm

probably have to get some of all flavors and try them in YOUR rifle, to see which one IT likes. :)

Good advice; that's what I did and my Marlin 917V shoots the 20 gr Hornady Game Point the best. I would have preferred a 17 gr plastic tip. It does vary from one rifle to the next. nhk

Stick with the Hornady 17gr.
I tried Federal, and CCI, and one of those would'nt hit the paper plate at 100yds. The Hornady was the best hands down. I have some 20gr Hornady, but they did'nt group as good as the 17gr, out of my Savage.
Good Luck
