I'm going to be loading BTHP 75-80 grain 22 cal bullets for a 28" barrel with a 8 1/4 twist.

The cartridge is a 22x47 Lapua which is the 6.5 x 47 Lapua case necked down to 22 cal, but powders and loads that will work for a 22-250 , 22 dasher, or the 22/243 with heavy 75-80 grain bullets are likely what I will need to focus on.

I cannot necessarilly rely on powders that are used for the traditional lighter 55 grain bullet loads, or the loads listed in reloading books for shorter 20" barrel AR15 loads.

I've used H4350 in my 22 Dasher and 22-6.5x47. Fantastic in the Dasher and very good in the 22-6.5x47.

Thanks Vince. It's rare to find somebody that is shooting the same 22x47L cartridge.

What bullet weight and barrel twists are you shooting?

I'm shooting 80 grain Sierras - moly-coated out of a 1 in 9 twist barrel.
