Gary, I'd think V133 is too fast for a 22-250 and heavier bullets.

Since the RL-11 is long gone, I'd try AA 4064 or IMR 4064. Lighter bullets, AA 2520.

QuickLOAD shows 31g IMR 4064 with the 80g Berger VLD in a 26" barrel and 56,500 PSI and 3085 fps.
32g IMR 4064 goes to 64,200 PSI and 3265 fps so it goes up pretty fast.

31g IMR 4895 gives 57,900 and 3130 fps.

32g IMR 4320 gives 59,200 and 3120 fps.

Remember, QuickLOAD is all theoretical.

Call me if you want to look at other powders. I'm not in the Embarq book but I am in the Yellow Book or PM me. Stigall and Cliff have my #. (So does Wayne Anderson!!)

I have had good results with H4831SC anywhere between 37.5 - 40.5 grs. I had to use an 8mm arrow shaft as a drop tube. No pressure signs even at the top load but start low & work up. Primer of choice to fine tune SD & ES's. My rifle was quite picky about bullet jump. The Hornady 75gr. AMAX shot the best which was nice because of the cost.

Can't see how you can miss with this powder in the 22-250.
It's been outstanding in ALOT of 22-250's factory or custom.
37.5gr and work from there...

Lott's of confidence in this powder!

I forgot all about H380. The 380 means 38.0 grains in a 22-250.

Gary kick our butts. Nah! I'm taking my 22 Short Mossberg this year. I'll show those smartass Savage guys.
