Gary Walters proved to all that you don't need a 30cal to win a VFS match.
He spanked all the 30's by a wide margin.

The top five are as follows...

Gary Walters 250-20x 6ppc

Nick Marino 250-18x 30gr

Allen Els 250-18x 30br

Guillermo "GERAMO" Villareal 250-17x 30br

Vic Smith 250-16x 30ppc

I don't have the results for Mod and factory as Ken has the
result sheets.:o

I just received the factory and the modified results. they are as
follows.

Factory

#1 Dan Evens 238-6x

#2 Joe R Duke 238-2x

#3 Paul Dermody 233-1x

Modified

#1 Joe Duke 248-7x

#2 Carl Easton 247-9x

#3 Faron Fredrick 246-6x

All of us that attended the match would like to give a big THANK
You to Trevor and the Payne clan and Johnny Jones for all the
great eats provided for us FOC.

Trevor donated the deer he harvested so we could enjoy links
for breckfast. Way to go Trev!!!:D

We had a near perfect day with temps in the mid 70's, winds @
5-10 mph and the sun made a appearance around 12.

Shooter turnuot was excellent at about 33 competitors and had 3
relays.

A good time was had by all. See ya'll at the next match.

Trevor is 10 years old. I'm pretty sure he shot a 248-8X. I was impressed.

I, for one, am REALLY glad to see a young shooter like him-- we need more of them.

It was a good day shooting. Lots of tall stories were swapped. Then we enjoyed a great meal. Then some more tall stories were swapped. It don't get much better than that.
Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making it all happen.

We sure did have a great Club Match, many of us have been quite active in promoting these matches, mainly to give shooters the "Benchrest Experience" without what many believe to be the hassles of Registered Match Shooting.

I have got to get a little battery powered "bull horn", or something similiar. Calling the entire match is a little hard on the voice, even mine. (sort of an inside joke).:D

I truely believe that clubs who are willing to put forth the effort to hold matches such as this are where we will pick up new shooters. Many shooters who were out Sunday agreed that being able to come to match such as this, and seeing first hand the equipment, and how everything comes together, is worth it's weight in great bullets. This is one of those cases where a picture, so to speak, is worth a thousand words.

As Match Director, I want to thank all of the club members who put forth the effort, andthe shooters who were willing to come out and partake of what turned out to be a great day.......jackie
