The 100 yard part of the IBS score nationals is in the books. Mother nature was the ultimate winner although some very competative scores were shot. The match was held in the rain until about 2:00 in the afternoon when the rain stopped and the sun peaked from the clouds. We had 80 shooters, shooting 98 guns in the three classes and a 6X/VFS two gun. If the creek doesn't rise another 4 feet we will start at 200 yards in the morning at 8:00 a.m. Here is a brief rundown of the top shooters in their classes.

Varmint for Score (71) shooters
1.) Bill Sargent 250-24X

Especially when you consider the RAIN...FWIW, you may have a 12 hr window that is not wet tomorrow, maybe. Looks to me like Sargent will be the man to watch next year for the Flying Fish Challenge, or maybe James. Good shooting EVERYONE!!

Nice shooting everyone. Sounds like everyone is having a good time. I hope that the rain stops a little tomorrow so that people can take down their wind flags and get things put away. Happy shooting everyone.

One of the things I enjoyed about the Score Nationals was getting to meet, speak and hang out with some of the vendors of our sport.

In this picture, are the guys that keep Julia supplied with bullets, Chad and Dick, the owners of 10X Bullets.

Randy, thanks to you and the rest of the Chippewa crew for hosting the IBS Score Nationals. It was especially impressive given the less than ideal weather.

In regard to your target crew: did you get all the work release prisoners (Neary, Gaidos and Conoway) back to their cells by dark on Sunday? That is a good way for a range to save money. You may have started a trend. :)

Jeff,
The work release program would not let Jack out on Sunday, but the others were okay to work. Thanks to Jeff, Gary, and Jack and mostly to the Boy Scouts for the good job they did.
