Thanks Joe for the use of your Unlimited Rifle. Great job of tuning up that rifle. You have been very generous sharing your rifles and equipment to promote the AR matches.

Open Grove Left-Coasters

Congratulations to all.

Glenn, maybe next match you'll be able to pick up those extra few points it's going to take to get past Mr. Friedrich.

And Joe ....another 250? All I can say is I hope my new Kodiak's and JSB's work as well in my gun as they do in yours. Plus, I hope they get here before our match on Saturday.

Good Shooting,

Dave and Paul Thanks, Glen was on my heels the whole match which makes the evening more exciting for the both of us. I mentioned I would keep you posted on the tuner device attached to the barrel. Last week was the first time I had the rifle out since the match before, almost a month. I tested most of the pellets when the shroud was on and the rifle didn't shoot well with Kodiak's. Now that the shroud is off and the device attached it';s shooting remarkable with the Kodiak's in good conditions.

I shot 6 targets Thursday night and they were all 250's with 7x being the lowest and 11x being the highest, the conditions were good. At present time I would say that there is improvement adding the device and will be testing more this week in different conditions to see if the consistency holds or not.

Six strait 250s? Thats awsome. What kind of rest setup you use?
Your rifle is a Rapid with .20 barrel is that correct? Is it a Lothar Walther match blank? If so I wonder if its common for the .20 L/W to shoot Kodiaks well. I would love to build a .20 maybe Disco, if I could be close to certain there a was a pellet that would jive. That caliber always scared me cause of the pellet selection. I had a .20 RX2 and hated it.

Craig, I use a one piece Pappas rest and it is a Rapid in 17 cal. John has been shooting the Rapid in 20 cal. while he waits delivery on his 20. I have not tested the Kodiak's in the 20, it shot so good with the JSB's I let it be.

I was truly amazed myself that night with the targets. AZ put the barrel on which I will assume is a Lothar Walther barrel. So far so good and am very pleased with the accuracy and performance with this rifle.

The next step is getting the Rapid in 22 cal to perform.

Take Care and Thanks for asking.

I finally got to shoot my 22 in Gary's stock. I love how it tracks now. I did determine today is the gun likes Kry-Tech wax better than Lube one. But it still won't shoot 250's and that is indoors. I will have to weigh some pellets and wax them for Dave's shoot this weekend.
Question on tuner's? Would you recommend I try one that is used on the end of the barrel? or a mid barrel weight that Dan K sells for Airgun? or all of the above?
It looks like the summer will be over before I get my .20 conversion.
Thanks for you help

I would think that wax lube would be hard to do thin and uniform on the pellets, plus maybe build up in the barrel. Doug and Paul both now sporting it, I gotta give it a try, could be an upgrade for me. How do you guys apply that stuff again? I heard it at one of the shoots but I forgot.

P.S. there is an outside chance I can make the PM shoot saturday, Dave can you email me the info.
