The way to regulate guns has always been to regulate ammunition. It's amazing that the anti-gunners have not thought of it before. But maybe they did, because ultimate victory would mean the ultimate demise of their cause and their organizations. In any event, the general casual shooter could relate to that method of regulation as far back as 30 years ago. But, what else do we expect? Mass shootings seem to happen with increasing regularity and are always sensationalized. A shooting of five people will always make a headlines but a multi-car crash killing a dozen or so will not get the same level of coverage. And that's probably as it should be becuase a driver is taking a known risk, but the average person assumes no risk of sudden death by gunshot when going to the mall.

In any event, we will probably see an increasing number of proposed statutes to regulate ammunition and guns. Worse yet, we will most likely see an increased number passing. Such is the world in which we live.

Hey, where's that ol' fightin' spirit, Beau? Don't let the bastards wear you down! It's time to circle the wagons and give 'em hell.

Uh, that's enough cliches for the moment. But it does look like we are heading for possibly the nastiest assault on the 2nd amendment to date.
