Hi,
I have been told ignition is very important in rimfire rifles.
This being said. How do you tell if you are getting poor ignition?
Thanks Tom R

Tom,

Search back a week or so. There's a message on firing pin shape & performance that's worth a read.

However, if you're stuck with what you've got, first you can make sure that the face of the barrel & bolt are clear of wax & residue, that the firing pin & internals of the bolt are likewise clean, clear & that you have a fresth firing pin spring. Things like headspace, pin protrusion & damage (if any) to the barrel face where it acts as an anvil are worth having checked out.

Really aberrant ignition should show up across a chronygraph.
