I am going to re-bed and epoxy one of my rifles
in the near future.

I will use Devcon Aluminum Putty as my bedding
and neutral shoe polish as a release agent on my
action.

What do you use to remove the release agent from
the Devcon bedding? Will it hurt the bedding if it
gets behind it?

Thaks in advance

I use a rag dampened with Varsol (paint thinner) and wipe away and then a dry rag... if you plan on gluing it in after - this is not getting it clean enough for that... it would have to be wiped with Lacquer thinner or Acetone and lightly sanded before applying glue in coat...

Acetone works great.
