I am not sure what they are called, but they are used to check to see if a shooter has completely knocked out the orange dot in 22 cal shooting matches.

They are the same diam (give or take) as a 22 cal bullet and have a small magnifying glass built into it. When dripped down in the bullet hole, it will magnify any part of the dot that is left.

where can you buy these and what are they really called.

They are called 'Scoring Gauges', you can get them from the NRA and believe me they are worth the points! :D
