Bill,
Thanks for posting that! Congratulations to all the winners, and all the other participants as well. Great bunch of shooters. Congrats to Danny on the 3-gun win! That's tough to do, but I thought you'd have a real good chance. That Tenn. orange gun likes it in the barn!

Bob's Sporter work:

If what I'm about to post is inaccurate, I apologize.....

I heard a rumor that Bob Collins is shooting his Sporter in all classes. If that is true, that means he won the 2-Gun Yards Championship with his Sporter.

I've got my liverwrust sandwichs, sorry, sammiches, and I went to the grocery last evening and got a couple of banana flavored Moon Pies, and, I found some brown mustard that is killer!

Meters today is going to be tough cause them boys ain't going to allow Calfee Guns to win every class today like they did at yards yesterday.

Good luck to all...

Congratulations Ken Fulghum:

Congratulations Ken on your 2008 RBA, Indoor, Multi-Gun National Championship.

Ken, I understand you're using a relaxing trigger, of your design, on a Jewell trigger, in your Calfee Turbo.......One day soon everyone will be using relaxing triggers. Great shooting my friend.....

Your friend, Bill Calfee

PS Fiddler: I believe it's his old Anschutz actioned Calfee Sporter.

Mr. Calfee,

You are cordially invited to http://forums.delphiforums.com/Smallbore/start
to discuss these wonderful little rifles we all love. I know you sir only through your work as you built a prone rifle for a very good friend of mine. I have never before seen such craftsmanship. You truly have a talent.

Ken,
I knew that you were going to be hard to beat if you got your sporter working. All of us R.B.A. shooters have got our work cut out for us this season. You have had trouble in the past getting a sporter to shoot, but now you got a KILLER sporter.Congratulations on the BIG WIN.

Friend Robert:

I see you are an Aussie, I've got a lot of friends in Australia...

I have written several articles in Precision Shooting Magazine about what I term "Relaxing".......back copies are available...

But, what I've done is to develop a method to remove the upward pressure of the sear connector on the bottome of the cocking piece, in Remington pattern triggers........this upward pressure restricts lock-time and uniform, consistent ignition, and, it also hinders the 12:00 locking lug from seating uniformly, 100 % of the time, on actions with vertical locking-lug lock-up.

I do this by removing the sear connector return spring and installing a manual re-set lever......

Robert, I've made a deal with Ed Shilen, Shilen Barrels, here in America for the rights to my trigger........

One day shortly everyone using a Remington pattern trigger will be using one of my "Relaxed" triggers.......

You can contact Precision Shooting Magazine and purchase back copies of my "Relaxing" articles......I go into great detail about the reasons for my developing my trigger system.

Friend Rick: Thank you....

Mr. Calfee,

I was blessed in many ways with my first trip to Camp Perry for smallbore prone. Re-kindling some old friendships, making some new ones and accomplishing some goals along the way as well.

Thank you,
Rick Curtis

Friend Rick:

I shot position on my High School Rifle Team.......I wasn't no good at it, last man on the 2nd team, but, the experience allowed me to understand how difficult it is to win big time position matches....

Perry, last stage of the Metallic Sight Championship..........
55 possibles fired, yes, 55..........Rick Curtis finishes third out of those 55 possibles with an awesome 400-36X.........ain't bad for a feller's first trip to Perry.

OK, Mr. Calfee you got me smiling with that one! Your little rifle was second in that very same match. I could close my eyes and pick the Calfee out every time it fired.

For over thirty years I never so much as tried to shoot one of these rimfire rifle's competitively. Then, two years ago I shot my first smallbore match. Man oh man did I ever get hooked.

Thank you again,
Rick Curtis
